As a Project Manager in Construction & Material Engineering, you will be a vital member of an A/E/C team responsible for a variety of projects throughout the Midwest. For 50 years, Rii's Construction Division has provided services to private and public clients.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Project Manager in construction administration and inspection as well as knowledgeable in materials testing and special inspection.

What you do:

• Manage and provide input to RFIs and RFPs
• Mange post-construction project closeout
• Prepare change orders and negotiate additional costs
• Document field obstructions and changed conditions
• Perform constructability reviews, organize comments and work with design professionals
• Work with project team in coordination of final inspection and development of punch list
• Coordinate pre-construction surveys identifying points of interest and documenting accordingly
• Serve as project manager, directly managing all activities associated with a given project
• Become an active member in civil/professional activities and organizations
• Resolve technical field problems and engage in review of field construction activities
• Assist Owners and Design Professionals in preparation of bid documents
• Review of force account claims for conformance with contract documents
• Administer, schedule and coordinate pre-construction meetings and progress meetings
• Track and analyze project progress and budgets
• Coordinate with on-site inspection, review inspection reports
• Manage and coordinate submittals
• Follow established Quality Control procedures per Rii’s ISO 9001:2015
• Engage in industry-related organizations (ASCE, ACI, ICC, SSPC, NACE, ICRI, etc.)
• Claim analysis - Review and track any claims associated with the project
• Research and provide solutions to construction and design challenges
• Review and reconcile quantities with contractors / prepare payment applications
• Communicate with the public, provide commencement notifications and required applicable work notifications
• Coordinate survey of completed work and verify conformance

What you bring:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
• Experience with Department of Transportations - ODOT and/or INDOT standards
• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Administration, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software
• Willingness to learn new skills and interface with multiple project teams
• Good communication skills, attentiveness to detail, and multi-tasking ability
