Roles & Responsibilities:

The Clinical Coordinator I supports the field activities for the conduct of clinical research studies in compliance with applicable regulatory standards, IRB policies and procedures and internal requirements. He/she will work collaboratively with the clinical trial Coordinators, Project Managers, Quality Assurance Coordinators and others. He/she will report directly to the Clinical Trial Director of the Coordinating Center.
Under the supervision of the Clinical Trial Director of the Coordinating Center, will draft correspondence as needed to support monitoring related communications to clinical sites, including follow up to outstanding items from previous visits.


  • Track study coordinators specimen order supplies
  • Provide logistical support for ordering and tracking all study specimen supplies
  • Assemble specimen supply kits and ship them to the study sites
  • Will enter data into the electronic data capture system
  • Track shipping of specimen from the clinical sites to the core labs
  • Participate in regular teleconferences, staff meetings, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Biology or related field.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently within the scope of a team environment. Experience working in an academic environment with a concentration in Health Policy, Public Health, and Community Research preferred. Proficiency in MS Office software is highly desirable.
  • One year clinical research experience preferred.
No direct contact with patients, but HIPAA Compliance training required

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58661 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
