Salary Range: $47.8400 - $74.1000 /hour

As part of the nursing team at Hoag Memorial Hospital's Nursing Staffing Office (Float Pool), you will deliver direct inpatient care as per the California Nurse Practice Act, and in support of the mission of the Patient Care Services Division. Being a Hoag Clinical Nurse I, means serving our community by using research and evidence-based outcomes, and collaborating with members of your team to offer the highest level of care to those who depend on us.

Inside Hoag’s Float Pool

Our Staffing Office provides three levels of nursing support to the hospital based on expertise and patient acuity: Float I, II, and III. As a Float I nurse your primary responsibility will be to provide direct patient care to various medical/surgical units, including: Oncology, Pulmonary, Gynecology/Urology, Surgical, and Telemetry. The patient population served is the adult and geriatric patient with medical, surgical, oncological, cardiac, and/or neurological diagnoses. You will also have an opportunity to float to both Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and Hoag Hospital Irvine, and receive an additional 5% to your base pay rate.

Hoag nurses consistently maintain a high standard of professional communication, appearance and conduct. To that end, we’ll expect you to participate in our continuous quality improvement process and maintain a working knowledge of departmental and hospital standards, policies and procedures.
