LOA/STD Administrator
A Silicon Valley based company that specializes in Leaves of Absence, ADA and Short Term Disability management is looking to expand their administration team.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with FMLA, state leave laws, FEHA, ADAAA, STD and voluntary plans. This role can be performed remotely so open to anyone within the US.
Job Duties and Essential Functions include
• Administering leaves of absence, disability and/or LOA pay claims for multiple clients per client policies while adhering to Federal and State leave law regulations. Leave administration includes but is not limited to confirming leave eligibility, reviewing medical documentation, communicating with healthcare providers, client employees and members of the HR team, confirming return-to-work.
• When applicable, initiate return-to-work accommodations while adhering to relevant Federal regulations.
• When required, coordinate between short term disability insurance carriers, worker’s compensation insurance providers and the employee.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
• 3 years of disability and/or ADA administrative experience.
• A four-year college degree or a professional certification in a similar or related field preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to keep abreast of any changes in law, policy, methods, procedures, etc. as they pertain to clients.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with health care providers, co-workers,support staff, managers, COO, President and other Board Members, and vendors.
