Act as the primary operations relationship management partner for Corporate Banking Product and Coverage teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor deal controls to ensure milestones are met and achieved in a timely manner, with breaks and remediate/action accordingly
- Quarterbacking key milestones in the deal lifecycle: creating deal folders, managing the conflicts submission process, sanctions screening, conducting Counterparty Due Diligence, Environmental and Social Risk Assessment, and client due diligence/Know Your Client processes etc..
- Assisting in audit / regulatory reviews, controls issue resolution and reporting
- Partnering with the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Client Office, Bankers and Compliance teams to assess documentation requirements for new client legal entity on-boarding and new business implementation
- Participate in meetings with Bankers to proactively manage deal pipelines, identify opportunities and potential roadblocks that need to be addresses
- Execution and oversight of Investment Banking transactions across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Lending
- Assist in the execution of strategic projects and process improvements
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly self-motivated to work without supervision and on broad based teams that cross Lines of Business
- Previous experience and sound knowledge of investment banking products (Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Equity Capital Markets) as well as Corporate Banking products & processes
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Strong capabilities and the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Proactive/self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners and clients in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Deliver results in a dependable, timely and accurate manner
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
- Minimum 3 years of prior work experience preferred with a background in sales/client service and project management a plus
