Job Description

Chief Human Resources Officer


Our client, a highly regarded financial institution located in Center City, is seeking a hands on, strategic Chief Human Resources Officer to join their team. Hybrid work environment.



The Chief Human Resources Officer will report to the CEO and be part of the senior leadership committee. The role will manage a team of 10 and will handle employee relations, talent, HR operations, and development.



Responsibilities:

The Chief Human Resources Officer will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining HR handbook
  • Ensuring federal, local, and state employment laws compliance
  • Oversee talent acquisition practices planning and creation
  • Resolving employee relations issues
  • Administering employee payroll, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Working with leadership in policies and procedures development
  • Managing employee relations initiatives, including DEI strategies
  • Collaborating with brokers and advisors on retirement, health and welfare, and other benefits plans
  • Managing department budget
  • Acting as main point of contact for carrier, vendor, and systems issues



Skills/Competencies:

The ideal Chief Human Resources Officer will possess these skills:

  • Proficiency with Payroll and HRIS systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • 10 + years human resources management experience, including at least two years at the director level
  • Self starting and proactive
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Master’s degree or related HR certifications preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
