General Position Summary:

The CEO or Executive Director of Telluride Regional Medical Center (TRMC) is accountable for the planning, directing, and managing of the current operations, future growth and program development for the organization while ensuring responsible use of fiscal, human and physical resources. In conjunction with the Board of Directors, the CEO or Executive Director will develop goals and objectives for the organization. This individual is responsible for ensuring that TRMC delivers high-quality, cost-effective care. In this role, the CEO or Executive Director will orchestrate the day-to-day operations of TRMC, which requires a unique skill set, working knowledge of the entire operation, and robust staff level understanding of both the clinical and administrative sides of TRMC.

Key Capabilities, Experience, and Preferred Skills:

• Full spectrum revenue cycle management
• Management of employed and contracted physicians
• Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred in health, business, finance or related field
• Licensing and compliance
• Production of management reports at a functional level
• Public speaking and community engagement
• Rural and multi-specialty operations
• Design and management of a practice workflow that optimizes efficiencies
• Ten years progressive medical leadership experience
• Carrier contracting and reimbursement evaluation

Position is full-time and exempt. The position reports to the Telluride Hospital District Board of Directors. The suggested salary range for this position is $175,000 - $210,000/annually.

Founded in 1978, TRMC is a rural healthcare facility offering patient-centered primary care, behavioral health, care coordination, the region’s only 24/7 Emergency Department with a Level V Trauma Center, and lab and radiology services.
