Centcom - Linguistic Cultural Advisor

Requirements

· Provide technical translation and interpretation including continuous or simultaneous interpretation in support of senior level events that require diplomatic/ministerial levels of proficiency.

· Possess an active Secret Security Clearance and eligible to be sponsored for TS/SCI.

· 10+ years of related translation work experience.

· 3+ years’ experience working in a Combatant Command or equivalent.

· Fluent in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing in Modern Standard Arabic - Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT 3/3/3 or higher / equivalency).

· Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite products, Microsoft Edge and Adobe Acrobat products.

· High school diploma / GED.

· US Citizen

· A military background or familiarization, as well as an understanding of Countering Weapons Mass Destruction (CWMD) subject matter is advantageous.

· Previous experience on a Combatant Command staff (military, government civilian, or contractor)

· Previous experience on the CENTCOM staff.

· Previous Joint Staff experience

· Direct knowledge of current CWMD plans, policies, and procedures.

· Experience in the Military Decision-Making Process.
