Cell Test Technician - Cell Qualification

Battery Cells are the common denominator for every Tesla product. This is an opportunity to work in the Cell Qualification group, which is responsible for the testing and qualification of Tesla’s next-generation Li-ion battery cells and development of new cell test methods. This candidate’s primary role will be laboratory test execution, life-cycle characterization, and mechanical testing. The candidate will work alongside a diverse team of engineers and technicians to advance technology that provides sustainable transportation, energy storage and generation.

• Operate battery test equipment to perform Li-ion cell testing, including electrical characterization, dimensional inspections, and mechanical tests. • Organize battery cell test samples through their entire life cycle, including incoming quality inspection, shipping, inventory and tracking, and test registration. • Communicate test data to test engineers, and report issues observed in sample, process, test or documentation to supervisor. • Support in test fixture design and laboratory equipment maintenance. • Support laboratory organization and maintain a safe and clean work environment
