Tower Technician I Jobs

Location: Irvine, CA
Travel Required: 50% mostly locally
Pay Rate: $24-$33/hr
Experience: 3 years +

MobileNet Services is seeking experienced Tower Technicians for the Southern California market to join an industry leader in wireless engineering. With over 20 years of unrivaled Wireless Engineering Services, MobileNet is expanding our offerings to include installation and construction. The ideal candidate must have a wide breadth of wireless projects experience macro, small cell and DAS infrastructure.

Job Duties:

• Performs duties in a safe manner.
• Maintains clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)
• Troubleshooting, replacing and performing maintenance on 4G components,
• Proficient with installation of antennas, RRH’s, ground kits, RET systems.
• Performs transmission line and antenna systems installations
• Effectively communicates both orally and written
• Perform antenna and path alignments
• Works under close supervision.
• Follows instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
• Assists with testing procedures (sweeps, PIM, fiber testing etc.)
• Run, terminate and dress-in coax, RF jumpers, hybrid cables, stand-alone fiber cables as well as installiingTMA’s, connectors, weatherproofing etc.
• Analyzes situations accurately and adopts an appropriate course of action.
• Demonstrates skills in the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Performs antenna alignment using a GPS antenna alignment tool Proficient in running coax lines to top of the tower, dressing-in and terminating various connectors.
• Knowledge of basic tower rigging techniques.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Strong communications skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to lift over 70 pounds.
• Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.

Specific qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Minimum 1-3 years of telecom tower climbing experience

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of MS-Office & MS-Project.
• Associates Degree in a Technical/ Professional area.
• Demonstrate onsite strong leadership skills.
