What You Will Be Doing


The Manager, Category Management position serves as an internal business consultant building Albertsons customer focused strategy.


The position will be hybrid and could be based in any of our division office locations.


Main Responsibilities


  • Combine analytical expertise and research to answer and deliver insights to the business in ways that make significant impacts
  • Review data, identify critical information, analyze and develop hypothesis to make recommendations to broader audience
  • Communication and influence so consumer insights are at core of decisions and ensure you are the fact based, independent and unbiased voice in all conversations
  • Mine multiple sources of internal and external data to derive meaningful insights (internal data bases, IRI, Nielsen and Customer Data)


The salary range is $82,900 to $107,680 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.


What We Are Searching


  • Expert knowledge in MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in Retail Grocery Category Management
  • Preferred education is a Bachelors’ degree
  • Extensive experience synthesizing information from large data sets from multiple sources (internal/vendor/syndicated industry)
  • Preferred experience is 5+ years in category management, data analysis, consumer insights or related experience
