Job Description

Advises students/graduates and partners with them in preparing for pursuit of the entertainment or media industry for which they have trained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Advises students/graduates in policies and procedures of the Career Development Department.
  • Coordinates graduate resumes to appropriate employer leads.
  • Create and deliver degree related presentations for both Campus and On-line students.
  • Documents all conversations (personal, phone, email, video meeting, social media, text).
  • Educates and assists candidate graduates with career search practices, including: presentation skills, conducting research, resume review, cover letter writing, developing telephone and interviewing skills, industry etiquette and responsibilities.
  • Duties and assignments as assigned by Team Lead and Associate Director.
  • Organizes and develops resources for industry research. Develops outreach practices to assist graduate networking.
  • Meets with students/graduates in Career Advisory Interviews.
  • Communicates and delegates assignments to the assistant.
  • Reports directly to the Team Manager.
  • May attend industry-related events and presentations.
  • Provides accurate statistical information for the yearly accreditation.

  • Working knowledge of the music industry and live event companies.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Experience preferred in Audio, Music Production, and/or the Music industry.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Internet researching.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry is required (3 years min preferred).
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
Computer/Equipment Skills:
  • Mac OS proficiency preferred.
  • Proficiency using software programs such as Office 365 products, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, DropBox, Zoom Video Conferencing.

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:
Employee must work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Physical requirements include the ability to sit for extended periods of time. Work is performed on a hybrid schedule, both in an office, classroom, and remote environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active student and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. May be subject to; bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
