Job Summary

As the Care Services Associate Director, you will oversee the management and delivery of our exceptional care services to individuals living with ALS and their families. Your role will involve supervising our dedicated care services staff and ensuring consistent and high-quality support across our assigned territory. Additionally, you will oversee our Assistive Technology Labs and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program. Join us in providing hope, assistance, and comfort to those in need.
Responsibilities
Be the Assistive Technology Expert:
Serve as an adaptive device and assistive technology expert for our local Care Services staff and partner clinics.
Facilitate the review and completion of all assistive technology related relationship agreements.
Ensure Efficient Operations
Assist the Care Services Managing Director/Director in maintaining comprehensive and accurate data on our National Equipment Programs.
Develop and coordinate an ongoing assessment of the utilization of the National Equipment Program.
Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Assistive Technology Lab(s).
Personalized Care
Receive referrals and gather necessary patient, medical, and demographic information to establish and coordinate a care plan.
Conduct specialized care consultations and needs assessments for individuals living with ALS, caregivers, and families in various settings.
Actively manage a portfolio of patients, ensuring their needs are met within our capabilities.
Support And Resources
Provide information on available services, resources, and educational materials to individuals with ALS and their families.
Coordinate referrals to ALS Association programs, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
Facilitate resource support group meetings, engage participants, and schedule relevant speakers.
Collaborative Partnerships
Foster strong relationships with ALS multidisciplinary clinics, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
Establish strategic community and professional partnerships and collaborations.
Identify and resolve operational and service barriers within the assigned territory.
Program Evaluation And Improvement
Evaluate care services programs for effectiveness and desired outcomes.
Ensure consistent use of the Salesforce database and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Generate accurate and timely reports, including statistical and outcome metrics.
Provide valuable recommendations for current and future programs.
Cross-Collaboration
Collaborate with Development, Advocacy, and Volunteer Engagement staff to promote fundraising events and special initiatives.
Support advocacy and public policy efforts and assist in the recruitment and utilization of community volunteers.
Attend relevant Association meetings and travel as required for Association business.
Supervision
As requested, supervise remote and office-based care services staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional programs and services.
Assist in recruiting, coaching, mentoring, training, and conducting performance reviews for the care services staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in an allied health profession; Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), or Occupational Therapist (OT); ATP certification preferred.
Experience in assistive technology and knowledge of communication and assistive devices for individuals with ALS.
Minimum of three to five years of related professional experience, including direct care, case management, and leadership or management experience.
