Summary


The Flower Grower reports directly to the Cultivation Manager and is responsible for all tasks in their assigned areas within the Cultivation Facility.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assisting in irrigation, pruning, potting/repotting and propagation of plants.
  • Completes all tasks according to policies and procedures for the Cultivation facility.
  • Adjusting automated fertilizer recipes and irrigation timing to optimize flower yield.
  • Producing quality product free of pests and contaminants.
  • Cleaning and sanitizes all equipment and utensils.
  • Following and implementing corporate core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
  • Assisting with weekly and end-of-day cleaning as necessary.
  • Upholding all company policies and procedures.
  • Scouting for pests within assigned areas
  • Adhering to company cultural principles.
  • Harvesting crops, recording, and reporting harvest data.
  • Applying organic pesticides with guidance from Cultivation Manager.
  • Remaining current on product knowledge and industry standards.
  • Maintaining accountability, in relation to specific job descriptions.
  • Attending quarterly team meetings.
  • Participating in monthly product inventory.
  • Ensuring that assigned cultivation areas produce sufficient flower yield to meet the needs of Wholesale and retail
  • Planning self-directed daily activities and coordinating with hourly staff to complete flower room procedures ahead of deadlines.
  • Maintains accurate internal and state always required seed-to-sale inventory within assigned areas.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance is current, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing within assigned areas.
  • Reviewing electronic and written communication for current information and updates.
  • Removing cannabis waste according to state regulations.
  • Maintaining inventory of all cultivation supplies and order such supplies.
  • Following pesticide recommendations and ensure Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program is sufficient with Standard Operating Procedure.
  • Reviewing security procedures and protocols.
  • Executing and enforcing compliance of all local and state regulations.
  • Being a company brand ambassador and training team members to represent the brand appropriately.
  • Completing all company required training and certifications, including Responsible Vendor Training, Workplace Safety, and security, etc.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tendency to be proactive.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in cultivation
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to be analytical.


Physical And Environmental Requirements


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds;
  • Extended phone usage including teleconferences, and Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
  • General office environment;
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday;
  • Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs;
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shifts;
  • Extended computer usage;
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays;
