Cancer Center Scheduling Specialist

Regions Hospital is seeking a compassionate and customer service focused individual to assist our patients in our Cancer Care Center. This position would work Monday-Fridays starting between the hours of 7 am- 8:30 am. Minimum 1-year previous clerical and/or customer service experience.

Under the direction of the Supervisor Cancer Center Scheduling, provides exceptional customer service functions in a personable and professional manner. These functions include patient registration, insurance verification, complex and coordinated scheduling across numerous departments, and other clerical functions in the oncology setting, which includes clinic as well as chemotherapy/infusion activities. Must be able to think critically and ask questions as appropriate. This role facilitates communication between staff, providers, and other departments. Manages many activities impacting patient care.
