Job Description
The Associate Business Developer, Eastern Europe and Central Asia is responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing power projects for the company in their respective region. This position will ensure that contracts and proposals have integrity with regard to bidding strategy, technical approach, performance, cost and schedule of delivery. As a member of a global commercial team, they will work in close conjunction with marketing and commercial operations to expand and execute company’s rapid growth strategies. This role relies on initiative, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish business objectives.



  • Develop and achieve Sales Plans which meets revenue, profitability and market growth targets.
  • Participate in review of offerings and deviation requests through participation in deal reviews prior to submitting proposals to the customer. Develops relationships and manages internal customer’s expectations.
  • Ongoing achievement of all assigned Key Performance Indicators including contracted Mega Watts, margin, and revenue goals as well as overall customer satisfaction.
  • Provides training for others as necessary.
  • Analysis of customer energy specific technical, commercial and financial need; interpretation of customer RFPs and evaluation of business potential.
  • Involvement in reviewing contract documentation and customer negotiations.
  • Interaction with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs, drive the sales process and cultivate long term relationships.
  • Liaison with internal resources to develop proposals and provide efficient and high-quality responses to customers.
  • Maintain an accurate forecast and robust pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Promotes adherence to corporate principles, policies, standards, processes, procedures, branding and guidelines to write and produce compelling proposal content to create best-in-class proposals based on customer need and company goals.
  • Seeks out continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Generate and develop sales leads that qualify prospects, through cold-calling and other lead generation activities.
  • Review, filter and track new sales opportunities. Ensure effective reporting of sales activities and opportunities.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree


Additional Education/Certification/License Requirements


  • Ability to set goals and respond rapidly within a short sales cycle
  • Competency to formulate sales strategies, planning and processes to achieve business objectives and grow sales in a region or new market Additional Proficiencies Preferred: (i.e languages, software, programming, equipment, etc.)
  • Creative problem solver, with ability to address customer pain points
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with focus on cultivating positive customer relations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering/technical degree, or equivalent in work experience Years and Area of Professional Experience: (required for the role)
  • Knowledgeable on sales best practices
  • Solid understanding of the target region/market
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments
  • Minimum of three years of proven experience in either the sale or rental of generators or electricity industry experience and leadership is required
