Business Analyst Quality Assurance Lead

Responsibilities:

• Experience with some languages to test: VB, C#, C++, Java, SQL, Soap, XML, other Web Service
• Manage defects from creation to root cause
• Verify, track and close issues resolved during the release cycle
• Hold test meetings as needed per each project
• Work and follow directions from upper testers and mentor lower level of testers
• This role may also be responsible for tracking progress against Sprint Schedules, backlog refinement and testing strategies etc.
• Ensure the quality of business-critical software that are both external and internal facing.
• Create and Communicate with the test strategy based on business functions and the system technical architecture.
• Participate in requirement & design review sessions; evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality standpoint.
• Analyze project specifications, software requirements specifications, and software prototypes, and interact with software developers and SMEs to plan and develop test cases
• This role will select, adopt, and adapt appropriate business analysis methods, collaborate with stakeholders to document the requirements, product backlog items and be able to clearly articulate to the development team on the overall outcomes.
• Create test plans, test cases, defects, estimation and status reporting (manual and automated)
• Understand business process, design and development activities in order to understand test requirements and facilitate test automation.
• Actively participate sprint grooming/planning or requirement reviews, test execution and retrospectives or Lesson learned activities
• Write detailed test cases that could be run by yourself and other testers.
• Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, business partners and developers throughout SDLC to promote quality
• Perform various types of testing including System, regression, UAT and end to end testing and manage test coverage based on risk analysis for company portal.
• HP ALM and TFS experience or understanding

Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail in communication and work products
• Expert technical aptitude, organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication skills required to communicate to both technical and non-technical teams.
• 5+ years software testing experience with web, mobile, or database applications
• Ability to lead others, mentor less experience testers

About the position:

• The work hours will be EST.
• Remote opportunity.
• You will need to have your own computer to work. Client will provide remote access.
• Initially the contract will be 6 to 12 months with high potential of extension.
