Job Description
Overview
We seek a highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, and inclusive staff member to join our Administrative, Communications, and Excellence (ACE) Division as a Business Analyst! We need someone with the ability to develop strong relationships, possesses a collaborative spirit, and is passionate to make a difference in our community
The Business Analyst is a key team member of the Strategic Transformation Team in the ACE Division. This team serves the entire Human Services Department in analyzing various business needs and practices to provide recommendations for efficiencies or business changes.
The successful candidate will be familiar with improvement strategies with the ability to interview key project stakeholders to discover information that is important to the project at hand.

Responsibilities
Specifically, this position:
  • Assists Human Services divisions in determining what projects should go to the Strategic Transformation Team
  • Develops, creates, and completes project work plans
  • Analyzes business practices and provides input on all projects the team is working on
  • Communicates and collaborates with the Strategic Transformation Team and project collaborators about necessary details surrounding projects.
  • Assists with special projects for requirement gathering to help collaborators understand business needs and suggest the best solution
  • Identifies or defines the scope of projects with little direction and/or unknown goals
  • Analyzes business needs/processes and suggests changes for service improvement
  • Facilitates collaborator meetings to understand current business needs and if a challenge needs to be addressed
  • Learns about complex programs, regulations, and procedures/practices while identifying areas of resistance and/or performance gaps

Qualifications
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required for a
Business Analyst I will be eliminated from the process.
Depending on qualifications, this position could be hired as Business Analyst I or II.
Business Analyst I $37.6213/hr - $45.1456/hr
  • One (1) year experience in IT.
  • One (1) year experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience required.
  • Training, classes, or coursework in business analysis, communication, organizational change management preferred.
Business Analyst II $41.3834/hr - $49.6601/hr
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, combination of education and/or experience in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
  • Possess reliable transportation to be able work anywhere in the County as needed and required.
  • Three (3) years' experience as a Business Analyst required.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
This position is a hybrid position and will require at least one day/week in the office. You will be required to have adequate internet access and space for remote work. Larimer County provides an annual remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces.
The office could be located at one of the following three locations: 1501 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, CO 2555 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins, CO 200 Peridot Avenue, Loveland, CO.
All new employees and rehires may be required to submit fingerprints for a CBI criminal background check (c.r.s. 26-6-104).
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
