Homeowner Field Adjuster I, Ii, Senior

This is a remote position. The ideal candidate will be located in the Scottsdale/Phoenix, AZ area.

Job Summary:

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for homeowners first party claims leading to the proper disposition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the file within authority limits
• Builds functional relationships with both internal and external customers
• Demonstrates proficient estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on advanced first party homeowners claims
• Applies a sound understanding of regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Demonstrates sound understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• 2 or more years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required

Functional Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Effective skills in time management, organization, and the ability to work under pressure
• Possess knowledge of estimatics software, Xactimate and comparable tools.
• Ability to operate electronic devices including computers, cameras and cell phones
• Knowledge and experience working with water mitigation, asbestos, building construction.
• Ability to adhere to project deadlines and remain flexible in a changing environment

The base range offered for the role is: $57,500 - $90,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors.
