Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician I ($2,925 - $4,387/monthly)
Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the development and maintenance of County parks, buildings, grounds and facilities.
Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician II ($3,540 - $5,308/monthly)
Performs lead work duties and a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the development and maintenance of County parks, buildings, grounds and facilities.

Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician I:

• Assembles tables, benches and other equipment.
• Performs maintenance and upkeep of sports fields and parks.
• Maintains and cleans bleachers, dugouts, restrooms and surrounding areas.
• Inspects structures, sites and equipment for safety and proper working conditions.
• Interacts with coaches, umpires, players, concession stand vendors and others to provide information and resolve problems.
• Prepares written and computer reports.
• Repairs electrical scoreboards, sound systems and mechanical equipment.
• Removes ice and snow from all County property.
• Fills in for other positions as required.
• Lawn and field maintenance to include sprinkler/irrigation, installation and maintenance, painting, repairs scoreboards, inspects structures and equipment.
• Maintains parks and prepares fields for sports activities.
• Develops maintenance schedules.
• Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.

• Repair and maintenance in parks, trails and building grounds to include turf maintenance, fence construction and maintenance of chemical application and noxious weed control, seeding, top dressing, landscaping and erosion control.
• Interacts with coaches, umpires, players, concession stand vendors and others to provide information and resolve problems.
• Fills in for Parks Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs irrigation preventative maintenance repairs, installation and controller programming during irrigation season.
• Removes ice and snow from all County property.
• Develops maintenance schedules.
• Repairs electrical scoreboards, sound systems and mechanical equipment.
• Prepares written and computer reports.
• Attends yearly inmate supervision class held by the Sheriff’s Office.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency required. (Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician II)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred (Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician I)

• Minimum of five years of experience in sports field maintenance required. (Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician II)
• Minimum of two years of experience in sports field maintenance required. (Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician I)

• CPR & First-Aid Certification required (Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician II)
• Inmate Labor Supervisor Training Certificate preferred. (Parks Facilities Maintenance Technician I & II)

• Must successfully pass background check.
