Bookkeeper/Accountant Jobs

What you will be doing:

The Accountant / Bookkeeper is responsible for all AP/AR accounting functions in the company. This in-office role will manage day-to-day purchasing, invoicing, payments, process control & implementation, all GL entries, and financial reports. Ideally this person will be able to help or oversee the month end process as well.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Manage cash-flow projections, material purchasing, data collection, process controls, and implementation
• Audit payroll, including entries for taxable benefits, reimbursements, bonuses, and allocation of payments to the GL
• Perform duties such as bank reconciliation, accounts payable invoice and data entry, and expense report handling
• Prepare and distribute complete financial reports to management
• Create, organize, and maintain files using QuickBooks Online
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Help prepare books for end month/year closings
• Process wire transfer and international PEO payments
• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports

You must have:

• Ability to reconcile accounts and perform cost analyses, month-end close responsibilities, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• High level of confidentiality and discretion
• Proficiency with multiple accounting tools (Quickbooks, Netsuite, etc)
• Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong quantitative analytical skills
• 3+ years of accounts payable/accounts receivable accounting experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to analyze and audit data to detect errors

You should have:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (Master’s degree and/or CPA valuable)
• Tech industry or start-up experience
• Ability to implement new processes or significant enhancements to existing processes
• Experience with accounting and taxes across multiple jurisdictions (U.S. and overseas)
• Willingness to challenge certain cost assumptions
• Outstanding interpersonal and team building skills
• It’s helpful to have:
• Proficiency in Apple software, including Numbers, Pages and Keynote a plus
