The Staff Accountant Will Be Responsible For The Following Duties
My client is a nonprofit focused on promoting Energy Efficient technology located in NW Washington, D.C. with a need for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Controller, CPA and will be tasked with a variety of full cycle operational accounting duties. The Staff Accountant must have strong MS Excel skills and be proficient in QuickBooks. Candidates with QuickBooks experience and a BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Preparation of accounting entries into QuickBooks
• Calculate and prepare invoice adjustments as necessary, calculate special invoices for clients.
• Maintain fixed asset scheduling
• Posting GL entries and assisting in reconciling and preparing balance sheets
• Assisting Controller with various reporting as needed
• Processing all operational accounting, including accounts payables, receivables

Requirements
Requirements:
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar study
2 years experience in similar accounting role
Experience in MS Excel, QuickBooks
Ability to complete accounting assessment
GPA: 3.0 in major
