Position Information
Examination Schedule
The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant an oral examination.
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the exam process.
Minimum Qualifications/Employment Standards
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years full-time experience in a lead staff or supervisory role performing professional administrative work in a Behavioral Health setting.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university AND four (4) years full-time experience in a lead staff or supervisory role performing professional administrative work in a Behavioral Health setting OR four (4) years full-time experience equivalent to a Kern County Behavioral Health Recovery Specialist III in the Kern County classification system.
Dependent upon assignment, applicants may be required to pass an extensive background investigation and be fingerprinted. Disqualification for felony, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Driver's License.
