Job Summary

The Bar Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the Sunset Marquis Hotels Bar 1200, while providing a safe and memorable experience for all guests and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Set and maintain standards for all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.

• Ensure all licenses are current including health, safety, and liquor.

• Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories and budgets.

• Oversee, approve, and submit purchase orders for weekly liquor orders and conduct monthly inventory.

• Attend to and resolve guest concerns/issues quickly, efficiently, and courteously, while making guest satisfaction a priority.

• Responsible for employee selection process, training, coaching, counseling, and termination.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:

• Some college education is preferred; or a minimum of 3-5 years restaurant/bar supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Hotel/resort environment experience preferred.
• High volume, fast-paced restaurant/bar experience preferred.
• Micros experience is a plus.
• Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is required.
• Proficient in English- verbal and written.
• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a required.
• Food Handlers card is required.

Physical Requirements include:

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pound.

Salary Range:$75,000 - $90,000
