Job Description

Job Summary:

  • This position will support the CEO in the successful growth and performance, including financial management of WHPS
  • P&L responsibility for areas assigned.
  • The AVP/Director, Operations has the responsibility for overseeing all high-level operational global activities of various functional areas, which may include but not limited to: Claims, Customer Service (Contact Center Management), Provider Services, Grievance and Appeals, Member Services, and Medical Management.
  • The AVP, Operations will be required to oversee the ACA, Administrative Services Organization (ASO), small group and legacy business for Client.
  • Responsible for working collaboratively with Executive Leadership, internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

  • Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement action plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the organization.
  • Timely response to customer requests with a necessary sense of urgency, documentation, follow-through and closure.
  • Attract, recruit, train, develop, coach and lead a high performance team.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment.
  • Analyze and interpret data and metrics.
  • Assures compliance to and consistent application of law, rules and regulations, company policies and procedures for all assigned areas.
  • Develops and Leads all Business Continuity Activities across the global footprint
  • Serves as a liaison with regulatory and other state administration agencies.
  • Responsible for ensuring their areas are in alignment with all Business Standards.
  • May be required to spearhead the implementation of new programs, services, and preparation of bid and RFI/RFP proposals.
  • Responsible for driving WHPS to achieve and surpass performance metrics, profitability, and business goals and objectives.
  • Assists leaders in collaborative efforts related to the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership and management to the organization that mirrors the mission and core values of the company.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned or required by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel globally.
  • Must have experience in Healthcare, Medical, Pharma, Managed Care clients.
  • Client-driven mindset with a passion for enabling the success of the organization and customer.
  • Must have recent and related managed health care experience, prior Chief Operating Officer experience preferred.
  • The ideal candidate is an initiative-taker who thrives amidst ambiguity, has a can-do attitude, and has strong intuitions about what needs to be done to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Clear written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills ensuring effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated leadership with relevant initiatives: business process optimization, enterprise business project management, financial strategic planning and analysis, and risk management.
  • 10+ years work experience that reflects a proven track record of proficiency in the operational competencies noted.
  • Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
