This employer is seeking an EXPERIENCED Auxiliary Operator Jamesville, NY to join our winning team. HOURS: Monday-Friday 2nd shiftLOCATION: Jamesville, NY PAY RATE: $23-$26/hr (depending on experience) The Auxiliary Operator will work under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and the direction of the Control Room Operator. They will be responsible for the operation and inspection of various systems and equipment as assigned. Normally, their assigned areas will include the boilers and associated systems such as fans, grates, ash and air pollution control systems, the demineralizer, and the testing of water chemistry. In addition, the Auxiliary Operator will perform the duties of Crane Operator.The duties of the Auxiliary Operator include the safe and efficient operation of their assigned equipment in accordance with the established plant operating procedures. They are responsible for recording data, reporting equipment malfunctions or trends, which indicate possible trouble, and performing actions as directed to correct abnormal operating conditions or emergency situations. Position Requirements: The position of Auxiliary Operator requires three years previous experience with high pressure boilers and electric generating equipment, a high school diploma/GED. Formal technical training is also required. Ability to work swing shift is required. Protective Equipment Required:
