Job Description

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.

Production Associate Accountabilities

  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • May perform tasks utilizing microscopes or other magnifying devices.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Conducts quality checks periodically to ensure standards of quality are met.
  • Verifies adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations as needed.
  • Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Adjusts machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production.
  • Conducts quality checks periodically.
  • Communicates with team and support staff to ensure continuous production at high quality levels.
  • Reads work instructions, follows production drawings, procedures and/or receives verbal instructions regarding testing of assemblies and duties to be performed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all IEC procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness by meeting all productivity and quality objectives.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED

Physical Activity Requirements:

Work Environment: Production environment where the noise level is generally moderately noisy

Work Position: Primarily standing

Body Movements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Weight Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 20lbs

Sensory Requirements: Vision, speech, hearing, smell, and touch are routinely used in day to day functions
