About the Role

This role is remote but based in either Miami, New York or West Palm Beach.

Applico is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to support our internal advisory and investing practice. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: market research, financial analyses, tech startup outreach & diligence, presentation preparation, project management, and client relationship management.

In this role, you will learn to launch & scale cutting-edge technology platforms from successful entrepreneurs who have previously raised money from VC funds and exited. In addition, you will learn to negotiate and structure investments from former leading private equity professionals.

Responsibilities

• Communicate stories, insights, and frameworks to clients via presentational materials
• Lead, organize, and execute on tech startup research and outreach to relevant targets
• Maintain direct, day-to-day, cross-functional, client contacts. Pitch potential partnership/invest/acquire opportunities
• Involvement in Applico Capital and investing activities
• Assist in deal structuring and deal diligence of partnership, investment and acquisition opportunities with tech startups

Qualifications

• Ability to manage the full cycle an investment or acquisition process including investment structuring, three statement modeling, and investment memo presentation
• Project management and communication skills
• 1-4 years of total experience in a high performance environment - investment bank, private equity fund, management consulting or comparable experience
• Ability to see the big picture and understands how work fits into the overall scope of the company and client
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail

Travel & Location

Applico is working on a hybrid model for the foreseeable future. We provide WeWork passes to coworking spaces all over the world.

We require our employees to be based in one of our hubs: NYC, West Palm Beach and Miami. We encourage employees to work wherever they can do their best work within one of those metro areas and Applico provides opportunities to team-build in-person in each of those hubs as well as annually off-site and on-site with clients.

We have an expectation of at least 25% travel for this role to visit clients, prospective startups, etc.
