Position Summary
A Day in the Life
- Conducts research and develops a good understanding of the customer's needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors.
- Drives strategic goals by developing and delivering Program Increment Objectives for 1 or more Scrum teams that support the Product vision.
- Acts as a strong support to Business, Development, Sales, Support and Service managers through effective problem solving, collaboration, and communication strategies.
- Collaborates with peers on Program team to continually mature the backlog - a minimum of 2 sprints worth of work should be groomed at all times, per Scrum team.
- Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and integration of products, as well as the introduction of products to the market.
- May participate in the creation of documentation or user guides for new products
- Provides an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Sprint/Release goals.
- Helps develop requirements documents, functional specifications, and mock-ups to clearly illustrate product ideas and concepts.
- Takes product concepts and translates them into backlog epics, stories and requirements.
We are looking for someone who brings
- Knowledge about nonprofit customers preferred
- A proven ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience working within scaled agile (SAFe) methodology a plus
- B.A./B.S. degree or related work experience
- Self-starter approach, with a bias towards action and the ability to develop collaborative partnerships with business leaders
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to present to internal and external audiences
- Experience working within Agile development processes strongly preferred
- A growth mindset and subscribe to a continuous learning philosophy
- Demonstrable skills in good decision-making, prioritization, follow-up, and artifact creation
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen ability to deal with detailed, and sometimes ambiguous, information
- 2 years professional experience
