Overview:
We are seeking a Associate Product Owner (Remote) to join our growing team!
Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Position Summary

The Associate Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the GiveSmart Donor CRM by developing concepts, designs, and/or enhancements, based on market and user requirements. The Associate Product Owner prioritizes backlogs for 1 or more Agile Scrum teams to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features and components. The Associate Product Owner works alongside a Product Manager to drive and deliver Program Objectives based business and roadmap priorities.


A Day in the Life

  • Conducts research and develops a good understanding of the customer's needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors.
  • Drives strategic goals by developing and delivering Program Increment Objectives for 1 or more Scrum teams that support the Product vision.
  • Acts as a strong support to Business, Development, Sales, Support and Service managers through effective problem solving, collaboration, and communication strategies.
  • Collaborates with peers on Program team to continually mature the backlog - a minimum of 2 sprints worth of work should be groomed at all times, per Scrum team.
  • Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, and integration of products, as well as the introduction of products to the market.
  • May participate in the creation of documentation or user guides for new products
  • Provides an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Sprint/Release goals.
  • Helps develop requirements documents, functional specifications, and mock-ups to clearly illustrate product ideas and concepts.
  • Takes product concepts and translates them into backlog epics, stories and requirements.

We are looking for someone who brings

  • Knowledge about nonprofit customers preferred
  • A proven ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience working within scaled agile (SAFe) methodology a plus
  • B.A./B.S. degree or related work experience
  • Self-starter approach, with a bias towards action and the ability to develop collaborative partnerships with business leaders
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to present to internal and external audiences
  • Experience working within Agile development processes strongly preferred
  • A growth mindset and subscribe to a continuous learning philosophy
  • Demonstrable skills in good decision-making, prioritization, follow-up, and artifact creation
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen ability to deal with detailed, and sometimes ambiguous, information
  • 2 years professional experience
