ASSISTANT RIGHTS MANAGER


As an Assistant Rights Manager within our client’s Marketing Operations, you are working across marketing teams using your organizational skills and usage rights knowledge to assist in populating the digital asset management system. Your un derstanding of the rights lifecycle beyond the initial production will en able our client to safely store and track all creative assets and facilitate re-use across teams. You thrive in fast-paced, team environments and are comfortable pivoting between multiple projects at any given point in time. Problem-solving comes naturally and your ability to build consensus is a key strength to your success.


This will be a hybrid position based in Mountain View , CA . This role will be required to be on-site 2-3 days per week, with the ability to work from home the remaining days.


Responsibilities


  • Assist with onboarding/training and office hours.
  • Be the point of contact to aid individual teams/agencies with ingesting their own rights information and answering general inquiries.
  • Connect the dots between missing projects/information and agency/team onboarding efforts.
  • Liaise with Asset Managers and assist with organizing and uploading content as needed.
  • Locate, organize, and ingest rights information for a backlog of content intended for upload to the digital asset management (DAM) tool.


Qualifications


  • 3 years in a Business Affairs, Producer, or related rights clearance role.
  • Must be able to recognize potential risk related to rights handling and escalate as needed.
  • Comfortable working proactively and cross functionally with a customer service approach.
  • Must have the ability to communicate promptly, professionally and clearly in person and via written correspondence.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail and be able to enter data using correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.
  • Experience using a DAM tool or contract management system (doesn’t matter which one) with flexibility to learn a new system.
  • Embrace user training.
  • Experience with global rights terminology and understanding that definitions differ culture to culture, and know how to translate that information into standardized metadata.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems and scale effectively across a large organization and highly distributed and often remote team.


The US base salary range for this position is $ 80,000 to $ 110,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, education, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.


The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus targets, benefits and/or other applicable incentives in addition to base salary.
