ASSISTANT UNITED STATES ATTORNEY (CIVIL RIGHTS)

Manages database of past and present foreign edition projects.

Minimum of two years relevant experience in museum or visual arts publishing.

Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience as an attorney at law.

Willingness and experience sufficient to assuming the lead counsel role on a variety of lawsuits, including high-profile, complex lawsuit;

Coaching and mentoring attorneys with less experience in litigation, research, and related activities;

Experience handling litigation involving public entities

Civil Rights and Workforce Manager

Experience using a DAM tool or contract management system (doesn’t matter which one) with flexibility to learn a new system.

Locate, organize, and ingest rights information for a backlog of content intended for upload to the digital asset management (DAM) tool.

Liaise with Asset Managers and assist with organizing and uploading content as needed.

Must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Be the point of contact to aid individual teams/agencies with ingesting their own rights information and answering general inquiries.

Connect the dots between missing projects/information and agency/team onboarding efforts.

Maintain an update appropriate case file records, including paper files, and online case management systems.

Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office 365.

Conduct interviews of complainants, respondents, witnesses via phone, office interview, or onsite interview, using generally accepted investigative interviewing principles.

Analyze gathered information including interviews, comparative information and statistical information.

Performs legal administrative support duties as required.

Ability to use personal computers for word processing and database management.

Draft immigration applications, letters to clients, caseworkers, and other professionals

Assist clients to report their trafficking to law enforcement

Direct personal or professional experience working with people with disabilities.

Interact with clerks and state election officials to identify and correct voting access issues.

Represent DRW on coalitions and committees that address voting issues, including the legal and civil rights of people with disabilities.

Manage and report on the BPDD grant for the Wisconsin Disability Vote Coalition and other grassroots and policy activities.

Minimum 2 years’ experience working on advocacy or voting issues.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concisely, precisely, and compellingly; outstanding editing skills.

This is an exempt, full-time position located in Montpelier, Vermont. Salary is based upon qualifications and experience.

Advocating on behalf of DC prisoners and reducing the impact of an unfair criminal system.

Conducting research on relevant issues and policies related to incarceration.
