Job Summary
This is an entry level position with opportunity for growth. This position supports FoodChain ID’s Regulatory Compliance product, Regulatory Limits, by assisting to monitor for regulatory changes, analyzing these changes and entering the relevant data into the data capture system (CERES). This information is also summarized in written stories to be communicated to clients in newsletters.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing international food safety regulations and proposals
- Monitoring for international regulatory updates from multiple online sources
- Performing quality assurance reviews on regulatory data sets
- Researching international food safety policies
- Assist the Regulatory Limits’ analysts and senior analysts to update regulatory content for the pesticide MRL, veterinary drug MRL, and contaminant limits modules
- Writing summaries of regulatory updates for customized client newsletter services
- Entering regulatory information into the data capture system (CERES)
Position Requirements
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- 0- 2 years professional work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
- Bachelor’s degree
- Analytical mindset with a detail-oriented focus
- Experience compiling, organizing, and managing information in spreadsheets or databases
- Accountable for the accuracy of their work and possess the necessary patience and diligence
- Curious with a passion for learning and developing expertise
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills are also essential, as candidates will be expected to interpret complex regulations and provide accurate, well-written summaries
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Education or backgrounds that are most suitable are in international relations, political science, food safety or some science
