The Assistant Property Manager reports to the Property Manager or Senior Property Manager and supports the manager in all aspects of the management for the assigned building or portfolio. The individual in this position will assist and support with the operations and financial responsibilities of the portfolio. Establish excellent relationships with all tenants to quickly resolve tenant needs that may arise and maintain the highest levels of tenant satisfaction.


The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $80,000 to $100,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus, contingent upon relevant education, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.


  • Proficient in C.M.M.S. including Angus, Facility360 or similar, Yardi, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Maintains a strong relationship with regular interaction with Property Owners to ensure that objectives are being met.
  • Oversee in the selection and performance of vendor services, including preparation of request for proposals and service agreements. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance and standards established in the service agreement are being met.
  • Supports the planning, budgeting and control of operating and capital expenditures. Administer and assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and variance explanation reports.
  • Supervise and assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable, including collection of rent, accruals, payment of expenses, common area maintenance estimates, true-ups, reconciliations, compliance with lease terms, and preparation of all related documentation.
  • Monitor and enforce the terms of all lease agreements, the billing and collection of rents and other tenant charges in compliance with leases.
  • Prepare correspondence and memos to tenants and vendors.
  • Generate, track, review and close work orders and be responsible for all work order reports.
  • Document and track all certificates of insurance from vendors and tenants.
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Create purchase orders and track, code and process accounts payable invoices using Yardi accounting platform.
  • Perform property inspections on a regular basis and make recommendations to maintain and enhance the asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in written and verbal communications, with the capability to create complex financial and business-related documents.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external tenans and vendors.
  • Candidate will possess a minimum of five years related experience.
  • Assist with coordination and supervision of facilities staff, including oversight of scheduling and facilitating maintenance with engineers, janitorial staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Responds to tenant requests and needs and coordinates with Property Management and Building Staff Teams to resolve the issues.
  • Maintain accurate and pertinent information for vendors and tenants.
  • Responsible for scheduling and facilitating maintenance with vendors and tenants.
  • Support and provide leadership in a commitment to achieve AY and client expectations for service and business objectives. Consistently uphold and apply the company’s policies regarding appropriate professional behavior to ensure that the values ofthe firm are exhibited by the actions of the staff.
  • Support the compliance of property safety standards, assist in the Fire and Life Safety training, and maintain the building emergency response plans and procedures, along with its related documentation of compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial terms and principals and possesses the ability to analyze and conduct complex financial and business decisions.
  • Responsibilities include all aspects of lease administration including critical datemaster scheduling, lease notification and renewal notices.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
  • LEED AP, IREM CPM and BOMA RPA certifications are strongly recommended.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, real estate, or finance.
