Assistant Housekeeping Manager Jobs

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists the Director of Housekeeping to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards. This role manages a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel, including interviews, training, scheduling, and performance management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day
• Requires a working knowledge of the housekeeping aspect of services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel
• This hotel will have a residential component. Prior experience in a mixed-use residential hotel is beneficial, though not required.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, and thorough follow through
• Proficient in Hotel property management systems, in particular Opera
• Spanish speaking preferred, but not required
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays
• Strong supervisory and managerial skills are essential, with outstanding demonstrated coaching and development skills
• One year of related or equivalent experience is required
• Must be fluent in reading, writing and spoken English language skills
• Engaging interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
