About the Position: The individual selected for this position will assist the Executive Director in the development and implementation of management, administrative, and clinical policies and procedures for the operation Griffin Memorial Hospital. The position oversees several departments and provides leadership for an environment of collaboration between and among all ODMHSAS program. This includes evaluating staffing levels and program design while maintaining compliance with governing bodies and ODMHSAS requirements.

Job Type/Salary:

• FLSA Status: Exempt
• Full-time
• Application Period: 05/18/2023 - until filled
• Primary Working Hours are M-F; 8-5
• Annual Salary is $90,000.00

Education & Experience Required:

Completion of the curriculum requirements for a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Business, Public Administration, Nursing, Human Relations, Education, Communication, Social Work or Health Administration or closely related field AND three (3) years administrative experience within a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility, children’s treatment facility, or a health care or social services setting OR a Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience with three (3) years administrative experience within a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility , children’s treatment facility or a health care or social services setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of unique and appropriate therapeutic approaches and programs; of inpatient and/or outpatient management; of human resources and fiscal management; of public administration; of the principles of effective supervision; and of basic statistical and research techniques; proficiency skill sets in planning, directing, and reviewing the work of facility staff; in analyzing complex situations and making responsible decisions with appropriate resolution; in coordinating organizational units; in performing multiple tasks simultaneously; and in communicating agency procedures and decisions in a clear and concise manner.

Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults.  GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.
