Job Description
  • Assistant Controller to work closely with our Chief Financial Officer |Excellent Growth Opportunity with International Influence
About Our Client
My client is a leading global investment bank with a strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The company provides a range of financial services, including equity research, sales and trading, corporate finance, asset management, and wealth management.

  • Manage the month-end close process, including assigning tasks, preparing journal entries, analyzing intercompany charges, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and cleaning up general ledger accounts
  • Prepare information for external audits and regulatory filings
  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and US GAAP requirements
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer and financial team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting for the US companies of our Group
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed
  • Prepare financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP requirements
  • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures

The Successful Applicant
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or financial services environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Experience managing the month-end close process and preparing financial statements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Series 99 or 27 preferred
