Job Description

We are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded addition to our growing team. This position will serve as the Asset Manager in overseeing a portfolio of A, B and C multi-family assets with a core focus on value-add renovation. The focus of this role is to asset manage the Casoro Group's Texas assets with out-of-state expansion potential.
Responsibilities
Maximize the value of multifamily assets by holding various service companies accountable for contract obligations, while ensuring the health of the assets, strong economic performance and fostering a positive investor relationship. The ability to strategically look at problems, utilize resources and propose solutions is key in this role.
  • Responsible for the full life cycle of asset business plans from acquisition, potential recapitalization through disposition with deliberate focus is to increase profitability while maintaining the asset’s value.
  • Oversee the annual budget process which includes a detailed review of all budgets, comparisons of budget projections to historical performance and industry benchmarks.
  • Direct responsibility for budgeting and execution of asset’s capital improvements and renovations projects in alignment with equity partners strategic goals and budget.
  • Ongoing third-party manager communication regarding performance, leasing expectations, as well as the property’s physical objectives.
  • Responsible for execution of business plans, budget approvals, forecasts, analysis, as well as interdepartmental and lender reporting and loan compliance.
  • Assist in pre-acquisition underwriting reviews and due diligence including review of financial and operational documentation to include third-party reports.
  • Coordinate post-acquisition activities and smooth integration of asset into the firm’s ownership portfolio.
  • Continuous knowledge of macro and micro market data to benchmark asset performance.
  • Perform regular asset-level reviews to include market data, project performance compared to budget and proforma, and propose innovative idea for project performance and improvements.
  • Procure annual portfolio property insurance and execute any claim management.
  • Communicate asset’s vision and expectations with cross-functional teams, including acquisition, property management, construction management, risk management, tax consultant and accounting in the execution of strategic business plans for the assets, to achieve highest performance and value.
  • Ensure compliance of all contracts and commitments of partnership agreements.
  • Responsible for the asset disposition process from acquiring BOV, contract negotiation, delivery of DD materials, proration approval and closing.
Minimum Acceptance Qualifications
  • Must live locally to Texas.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must maintain a quality work product in a time-sensitive environment, therefore, time management and ability to multi-task is necessary.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage projects effectively.
  • Value add multifamily experience preferred.
  • Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach, with the ability to step back and understand the “big” picture.
  • Must possess an entrepreneurial and customer-service driven approach to asset management.
  • Travel is required to visit assets for inspections, property manager meetings and market tours.
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Business, finance or accounting preferred.
  • Must be advanced in Microsoft Office applications with advance Excel highly valued.
  • Spreadsheet development and analytical proficiency required.
  • Prefer experience in Multi Family real estate
  • Experience with Yardi is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
