Job Description

A remarkable global leader in the field of construction and engineering invites individuals to explore their expertise. They specialize in conceptualizing and executing large-scale infrastructure projects across transportation, energy, civil engineering, and real estate sectors. They are looking for an Area QC Manager who will have the responsibility of creating and executing Quality and Environmental Programs for the expansion project and branch office.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):



  • Contribute to internal quality audits for various job sites and branch offices.
  • Prepare monthly reports on quality and environmental aspects by consolidating information from job sites.
  • Assess Work Plans against approved work packages.
  • Review and support the creation of daily and weekly activity schedules.
  • Participate in quality-related meetings and contribute solutions to issues and concerns.
  • Assist in identifying contract requirements during the initial phase of a project.
  • Ensure the availability of quality documentation and required records for projects and the branch office.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings based on quality audits.
  • Implement preventive measures to avoid project non-conformances and deficiencies.
  • Review and provide recommendations to address quality issues and concerns.
  • Coordinate the development of QA/QC packages to support RFC approvals.
  • Ensure quality assurance of proposals prepared at the branch office.
  • Collaborate with quality representatives from each project to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications regarding materials, workmanship, and construction.
  • Supervise assigned subconsultants and QA/QC staff, assigning tasks as needed.
  • Participate in construction operation planning to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Offer technical support to job sites regarding quality and environmental matters.
  • Coordinate meetings to address work deficiencies and establish corrective measures.
  • Assume responsibility for quality and environmental requirements during the proposal stage.


Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:



  • At least 3 years’ experience with DOT Projects and Standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO guidelines is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
  • Previous experience as a Quality Manager overseeing a Quality Team.
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Experience in quality management systems and quality system audits.
  • Proficiency in quality management through Doc. Control Systems
  • At least 10 years’ experience in construction Quality Control / Quality Assurance and Environmental.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in heavy civil construction (roadway/bridge/tunnel).
  • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
