Job Description

How we LEAD:
The manager will report to the West Coast Director of International Production (US). The manager will work closely with assigned Label International & Production departments to provide physical and digital production support for titles released outside of the U.S.
How you'll CREATE:
  • Manage all US-Owned release across West Coast Labels (Capitol/UME/Nashville/Concord/possibly others) for the world ex US.
  • Responsible for other related duties when assigned.
  • Responsible for set up and maintenance of domestic & international releases in UMG’s PartsOrder system.
  • Source art/audio for Vinyl Catalog requests across all label groups and delivers art / audio as needed.
  • SolicitsInternational territories for Initial Forecasts and reviews findings with International Marketing, Commercial and Operations teams.
  • Coordinate and deliver audio/artwork content for all US repertoire for the world ex US for physical manufacturing.
  • Provide support and coordination assistance in the creation of all digital and physical format releases with the international teams in London and for all UMG territories outside the U.S.
  • Interact daily with Label International Marketing and domestic Production personnel
  • Maintain weekly reports and provides content analysis reports.
  • Assist with maintaining and update all systems pertaining to active and archival projects.
  • Attend team meetings & Label Production meetings weekly.
  • Responsible for physical initiations of US products for CD/Vinyl/Cassette that consists of Bill of Materials, territory restrictions, marketing strategies, release plan.
  • Provide general support and expertise to Label International Marketing department
  • Work with International Marketing and US Production on approvals for audio, artwork, videos, etc.
  • Order Lacquers for International manufacturing and processes invoices via the UNIPORT system.
  • Schedule releases in DiGS and sets-up campaigns in RWS for international specific versions of US-RO digital products.
  • Set up unique international versions digitally/physically including the creation of new products, UPC, and ISRC codes.
  • Lead weekly or bi-weekly IPM Meetings to review status of pre-releases with Commercial Affairs, International Marketing and Operations teams to finalize release plans prior to initiation.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Internet, basic database skills
  • Strong organizational, administrative skills, pro-active and innovative
  • 2 years minimum experience in music industry and in physical and digital production
  • A “customer service” orientation in dealing with the International Marketing Staff at the label group, as well as with our worldwide affiliates
  • Production experience with music products and graphics
  • Highly motivated and able to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • 2 years minimum experience working with international companies
  • BA Degree
