Job Description
The Anti-Money Laundering Analyst III will assist in Guardian’s overall Anti-Money Laundering compliance program.
You will:
  • Assist in the completion of case investigations, including the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Continuing Activity Reports (CARs), when applicable.
  • Work with management to develop short- and long-term AML compliance goals and track business unit adherence to goals and monitor outcomes.
  • Creatively conduct research over available company systems, the internet and related databases consistent with the resolution of investigations.
  • Assist with the Risk Based Due Diligence (RBDD) module of the AML monitoring system for the manual assignment of risk points.
  • Collect and examine financial statements and documents to assist in identifying unusual transaction patterns.
  • Document and report the investigation findings and prepare case files for review (e.g., media search results, copies of statements/checks, results from internal system searches).
  • Proactively assist in the development of metrics, including reporting information on trends, regulatory developments and specific AML and compliance related events.
  • Assist in high level investigations as directed by senior management.
  • Provide necessary support in resolving applicable AML alerts, including the escalation of such alerts into cases, when appropriate.
  • Work with confidential data and investigations through to a successful resolution.

You have:
  • Regularly demonstrates initiative and ability to multitask.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Strong research and investigative background.
  • PC proficient (MS Office) especially Excel.
  • Extreme accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of laws applicable to money laundering, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements, and Suspicious Activity Reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of performing internet searches.
  • Experience in reviewing customer transactions and information for potentially suspicious activity and performing AML or financial investigations.
Location
This is a remote position with preference given to candidates in proximity to a regional office where you would come into an office two days per week with a flexible schedule.

Salary Range
$64,830.00 - $120,410.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
