SALARY: The salary range for this position is $65,922.62 to $114,456.18 for Schedule A, and $65,922.62 to $108,733.37 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.Judiciary employees hired prior to August 29, 2015, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 29, 2015, are considered Schedule B.

The Somerset, Hunterdon, Warren Vicinage is seeking a versatile and proactive individual with excellent finance, accounting, and cash management skills to supervise the Central Fee Office of the Finance Division. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 1b (Assistant Finance Division Manager), the selected candidate will perform professional administrative and cash management functions for court held funds and revenues and supervise the diverse work activities of a team composed of support personnel within the Central Fee Office.


The Administrative Supervisor will provide oversight and support to a team responsible for the acceptance, processing, internal control, and system management of all court ordered payments including Bail, Child Support, Probation Fines and Restitutions, Civil, Special Civil Part, General Equity, Law, and Family Division filing fees and other miscellaneous sanctions and fees; develop appropriate goals and standards; monitor work productivity; ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and court rules; participate in partnership meetings and committees or workgroups related to fee systems or procedures such as the implementation of JFMS and JEDS; work with internal and external financial auditors; mentor and coach staff; assess training needs; advise management on personnel issues and unresolved staff or team conflicts; distribute and prioritize work and ensure proper resource allocation; handle personnel actions such as participation in staff recruitments; make recommendations for pre-disciplinary and disciplinary actions; ensure staff accountability, conduct formal performance evaluation; prepare statistical and financial reports, reconciliations, ledgers and analyses; review system reports and resolve discrepancies; approve timesheets and leave requests.


REMOTE WORK : The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.


Qualifications


Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credits hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration and/or finance. Twelve of these credit hours must be in accounting and three years of professional experience, one year of which shall have included experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash management and/or financial analysis.


Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education, but do possess the required 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and/or finance, including 12 accounting credit hours, may substitute paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a CPA designation may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above.

Supplemental Information


Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.


Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
