SALARY: The salary range for this position is $54,602.64 to $88,562.53 for Schedule A, and $54,602.64 to $84,134.41 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The New Jersey Judiciary Mercer Vicinage is seeking a highly motivated professional with strong reasoning and analytical skills, who is committed to the mission and functions of the organization. Under the direction of the Family Division Manager, the successful candidate must demonstrate excellent information management, technical application and planning and evaluating skills; possess the ability to think creatively and work independently; adhere to deadlines and show attention to detail and accuracy. Candidate must have the ability to work on multiple assignments, while ensuring effective time management and prioritization of the same. The successful candidate will also implement operating procedures or systems, establish record keeping systems, and prepare and interpret statistical reports. They must also possess the ability to interpret Judiciary policies/procedures, regulations, and laws, and must have the ability to communicate this information to management and staff.


REMOTE WORK : The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.


Example of Duties


  • Provide services as the vicinage NJ KIDS Liaison.
  • Act as Finance Liaison, reconcile family/finance reports, research the cases to determine issues and next steps needed, for coding, fee waivers, fees pending, distribution holds, etc., utilizing Judiciary systems.
  • Upload documents to eCourts.
  • Review reports and correspondence for editing.
  • Complete systems access for new staff, as well as modifying for existing staff.
  • Review and monitor web-based applications filed via New Jersey Child Support Institue website. Follow up and contact litigants as needed, in relation to title IV-D applications, fees, etc.
  • Reviews added appeals and recently disposed appeals and makes notations via Judiciary systems.
  • Conduct training sessions and orientation programs on NJ KIDS for staff and law clerks.
  • Maintains/prepares the Monthly Aging Reports, Monthly Motion Report and monitors web reporting for Assignment Judge, Presiding Judge, and Management as needed.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with questions and correspondence pertaining to records requests.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and fulfill records requests.
  • Attend partnership meetings with Board of Social Services, Dept. of Family Development, Finance, Probation Child Support Enforcement, etc. and will prepare minutes.
  • Ensures staff compliance with Title IV-D requirements, annual UIFSA reconciliation report, and weekly duplicate party report.
  • Prepare agendas and memorialize meeting minutes.
  • Reviews and addresses overdue referrals, various reports, quarterly performance reports, and discusses with management where improvement is needed.
  • Assist with NJ KIDS customer service issues, and transfer cases to other counties.


Qualifications


Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in program development, program coordination, program analysis, program administration and/or administrative research.


Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience. A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

Supplemental Information


Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.


Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
