This position provides complex administrative support for management. This position will work independently under the direction of audit managers, directors, and the chief audit executive and will be expected to plan and expedite the flow of work while ensuring the smooth operation of the office and handling frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
Responsibilities
- Apply technical writing skills to department’s written reports and presentations
- Collect and organize data for internal audits
- Coordinate the preparation, collection, and distribution of audit reports and departmental operating reports
- Assist with the development of department budgets
- Maintain budget and financial records, such as reconciling accounts and preparing expenditure statements
- Assist with the implementation of department and University policies and procedures
- Provide administrative support to by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences, maintaining and ordering office supplies, coordinating travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks as needed
Comments:
The Administrative Assistant to the Internal Audit Department provides essential support for the department’s day-to-day operations. Incumbents are expected to work independently, to be detail-oriented, and to demonstrate excellent time management skills. They must also collaborate well with administrators, support personnel, and management.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in business or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and three years full-time secretarial experience required. Demonstrated human relations and effective written and verbal communication skills required. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping practices and direct supervisory experience preferred.
