Job Description
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of advanced administrative, complex clerical and routine technical duties as needed to expedite various day-to-day administrative functions of the Substance Use Disorder division (SUD).


Target Start Date: Monday, November 6th, 2023

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: $20.03 - $25.38 per hour (depending on experience)


Additional Compensation Available For Spanish Speakers, After Testing Proficiency.


Essential Functions (Performs Some or All of the Following):


  • Researches and creates various reports and associated analysis
  • Anticipates management needs
  • Prepares check vouchers for departmental, division, and center wide expenses
  • Develops and manages spreadsheets, maintaining up-to-date files
  • Updates files and organizational charts
  • Schedules and attends meetings, maintaining calendar, preparing/distributing agenda, and taking minutes
  • Registers employees for associated trainings conferences, making travel and lodging arrangements
  • Creates complex presentations
  • Composes correspondences
  • Maintains report database information
  • Audits purchases, verifying each transaction with appropriate documentation
  • Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reports and projections
  • Screens visitors/calls

  • Acts as liaison with outside agencies
  • Provides administrative assistance to Program Managers and Director in coordinating various programs

Minimum Qualifications


  • High School diploma or GED
  • AND one (1) year of specialized training in general office practices/procedures, PC operation, and various software applications
  • AND four (4) years of responsible experience related to above duties


OR an equivalent combination of education and experience


Preferred Qualifications


  • Excellent typing accuracy
  • Intermediate computer knowledge


Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
