The Role


BGC is looking for a highly motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our Golden, Colorado Team. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who values teamwork, takes initiative, and takes pride in their work. In this office-based role you will be responsible for supporting a range of administrative needs and collaborating with your fellow administrative teammates across BGC. You will report to BGC’s Administration Team Lead and the Golden Office Manager, and will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment alongside our Engineers, Geoscientists, and other BGC teams.


Responsibilities


The person in this position will be responsible for the following:


  • Prepare and coordinate for visiting and new staff, including preparing and organizing workspaces and IT setups
  • Liaise with building management (i.e., repairs, maintenance, security)
  • Maintain tidiness and general upkeep of kitchen area, visitor workstations, and common office spaces
  • Complete reception tasks/duties such as shipping and receiving, answering phones, printing and scanning, helping with staff queries
  • Assist in organizing logistics for conferences and events
  • Maintain office organization, various office equipment and supplies inventory
  • Book meeting rooms, prepare and setup of audio-video equipment
  • Assist with planning occasional office outings and company social events
  • Assist with booking and coordinating travel for visiting staff and clients
  • Organize catering for office functions and meetings
  • Support the Golden office and greater BGC Admin Team as needed
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects, as assigned


Required Education, Experience & Competencies


  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Comfortable with learning new technology and software
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant administrative experience
  • Collaborative approach to working in a team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office products and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting office and team culture and values
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines with attention to detail
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to pivot with changing priorities

As required by sb19-085 (8-5-20), the Colorado specific minimum salary for this position is $45,000 USD; however, base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC’s compensation package also includes a training allowance, a comprehensive medical and dental plan, and the potential for equity ownership.
