Job description:

Court Services is a statewide program with offices in Pueblo, Denver, and staff in various locales. It provides forensic evaluations for defendants involved with the criminal justice system. This position exists to provide administrative support to the Outpatient restoration to competency/ITPER Team and general administrative support to Court Services. Court Services is also responsible for the 2019 Consent Decree which has specific time frame mandates.

Responsibilities:

  • This position's work comes in from various individuals at unexpected intervals.
  • Position assigned to caseload and is responsible for the monitoring of evaluation report due dates in adherence to court orders and statute imposed timeframes.
  • Keep all involved parties informed regarding time frames or communicate regarding time frame issues. Maintains process to assure timely entry into system database.
  • Reports must be prepared in standard format to meet internal policies with approved standard cover letters prepared for presentation to the division director for signature, then prepared for submission to the state courts.
  • This position works with an assigned team to track, receive, and process court-ordered outpatient restoration to competency evaluations.
  • Work with a team to develop and maintain systems to manage records, files, and logs of all assigned evaluations to ensure reports are completed and to the courts per established deadlines.
  • Position is responsible for processing court-ordered assessments/evaluation reports received from clinicians in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists coordinator in the monitoring of court dates in adherence to court orders and Consent Decree time frames.
