This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by overseeing and implementing administrative functions for the Office of Communications , including the execution of drills and special projects in collaboration with key CDPH Communications and program partners, as well as CalHHS and the Governor’s Office.

The Administration Manager functions as a highly skilled, technical program consultant and serves as the program contact for administrative projects and departmentwide assignments related to personnel, contracts and operations. The incumbent is responsible for serving as an independent lead supporting, coordinating, and managing activities that cross multiple teams within COMMS, and oversees a group of administrative staff, including a Staff Services Analyst (SSA), two Associate Governmental Program Analysts (AGPA) and Administrative Assistant (AA).

To be eligible for hire, the successful candidate must be a California resident.
