The Account Manager (Employee Benefits) coordinates the placement and service of employee benefits for our clients. This position is client-facing and leverages knowledge of insurance services, employee benefits, plan design, and HR administrative functions.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with team to onboard new business and complete renewal processes, following workflow procedures and best practices
• Maintain client files and clear documentation in agency management systems, including policy information, attachments, activities, and correspondence
• Work with internal departments to execute service strategy for each client
• Assist in spreadsheet and compare carrier proposals, RFP process, program summaries, and options designed to guide clients through insurance program decision process
• Create and execute Open Enrollment and New Hire presentations
• Stay up to date on vendor/carrier plans and programs, industry trends, etc.
• Appropriately and professionally respond to client inquiries via multiple channels of communication (phone, email and occasional in-person meetings)
• Provide excellent customer service and support for internal and external clients
• Develop and maintain collaborative and positive working relationships with colleagues and insurance carriers.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of insurance industry and medical, dental, vision, ancillary benefits
• Moderate to advanced Excel knowledge is preferred
• HRIS system experience is a plus
• Excellent communication & relationship building skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
