Job Description
Operations is embedded in every business to support thefirm'sfunctions and handle the end-to-end process management of all core production and client-servicing activities across eachbusiness. You'll join an Operations team within one of our lines of business or corporate functions to help manage our processes and services while growing business-specific expertise.


In the program you will work in a collaborative environment that teaches you how the Operations function helps deliver core services to the firm and its clients. The goal is to assist you in building a long-term career in our Operations division and help with its continued growth.


What To Expect


In this two-year program, you will be hired directly into one of our high performing Operations teams. During the program, you will work in a transformative environment that develops your skills and knowledge while delivering core services to the firm and its clients. This will enable you to build a long-term career within the firm.


Some Examples Of The Impact You Will Make May Include


You will make an impact in a specific Operations area, which could include payments, trading services, lending services, client management, employee operations and many others.


  • Optimize processes in collaboration with Technology teams
  • Analyze reference data to help support trading
  • Helping with the end-to-end management ofthe clientonboarding experience
  • Being responsible for processing and investigating client transactions for a variety of products
  • Data Analytics and Reporting support for operational functions


Your responsibilities will vary based on your location and team assignment. You'll help deliver key solutions to our clients in coordination with other JPMC teams. In addition, you will gain exposure to senior leaders and receive best-in-class training as part of a broader analyst community.


This program will give you the opportunity to learn about Operations and develop your career. You will be fully integrated within a high-performing team and make a clear impact for the organization and our clients.While driving your core responsibilities, you will be growing your bank product expertise and looking for ways to innovate within the space.In addition to on-the-job experience, you will be part of a community of other analysts and will attend social events, interact with senior leaders, and learn new skills.


Training


You'll begin with an induction training that will provide an overview of the firm, our lines of business, and technical skills. Over the course of the program, you'll have access to continuous training relating to both technical skills and professional development. Topics will cover how to best collaborate with internal clients, utilize design thinking techniques to improve our processes, and leverage data to inform the way you work.

Once you've successfully completed the program, there will be opportunity for advancement within your current role within the Operations organization based on your performance.

About You

We are looking for people with diverse backgrounds and are excited to learn and identify process opportunities (e.g., automation). You should be excited to expand your knowledge in businesses and bank products along with making an impact in Operations while driving our business forward. You should be able to work within deadlines and be able to adapt to changing environments.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills


Additionally, we are looking for someone with a growth mindset, who is analytical, has good communication skills and works well on a team. You will be interacting with a diverse set of internal / external stakeholders and should be excited to solve problems. You should be a good listener and be able to ask probing questions to ensure understanding of requirements and needs of clients; while working towards delivery timelines. Additional skills & criteria include:


  • Experience with client relationship management
  • Experience processing multiple documents, payments and transactions for clients and various stakeholders
  • College degree preferred or 2-3 years of related experience in Financial Services Operations
  • Great team player able to work in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Experience with data visualization and ability to work with large data sets
  • Have the ability to manage time, prioritize assignments and know when to seek help for optimal solution
  • Maintenance of issue logs, troubleshooting of problems, and handling of complaints with appropriate and timely escalation
  • Ongoing collecting, inputting, analyzing, and monitoring of financial information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Root-cause analysis with experience researching, documenting, and independently reporting information to resolve exceptions, propose solutions, and deliver results
  • Detail-orientated with strong critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with desire to learn financial operations


Additional Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills


  • Loan origination, servicing, analysis, and quality control
  • Pre and post-trade lifecycle and portfolio management
  • Tableau, Alteryx, and/or Sharepoint
  • Money market, mutual funds, equities, fixed income, alternative investments and derivatives

Salary Range Disclosure: $80,000/year for NY Metro (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jersey City)
