The ideal candidate would have prior experience with microtomy and sample preparation for electron microscopy.

Good interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to multitask and work independently.

Operation of the TEM and SEM as well as ancillary equipment for sample preparation.

Preparation of buffers, laboratory solutions, and reagents following established protocols.

Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.

Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.

Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.

Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.

Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research.

Data Analyst - Research II

Pay Rate: $25.89/hr on w2

• Verify accuracy and consistency of analytic logic to ensure quality of output

• Coordinate meaningful way of displaying analytic results for readability and clear understanding of operational performance

Supervises, schedules, and coordinates the activities of less experienced research staff.

Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, and HPLC is a plus.

Knowledge of biology, chemistry, and physics is desirable.

Has good communication and organization skills.

Plans, directs and conducts vector production and research experiments.

Manage sample processing for internal experiments, collaborations, and client clinical trials.

BA/BS and 3- 5 years or MS and 0-2 years of industry experience in molecular biology, microbiology, genomics, or related discipline.

Good knowledge of the use of clinical data sets and public databases.

Creative mindset with strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills.

Desire and ability to learn new skills and a willingness to undertake training courses for continued professional development.

If to be involved in transporting frozen specimens, Rutgers biosafety training and certification related to transport will be required in advance.

Prior research experience, especially in epidemiology, public health, or quantitative social science.

Maintains existing databases and utilizes them in achieving study objectives.

Enters data into relevant databases.

Must have a current New Jersey driver’s license.

Under moderate supervision, conduct and evaluate experiments and assays

Understand and follow experimental protocols (may include animal handling, tissue culture, etc.)

Perform calculations involving molarity, % solutions, and serial dilutions

A Bachelor's degree is required/Master’s degree is preferred, in biological science with at least two years of laboratory experience.

Experience with cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, and/or molecular biology techniques e.g. quantitative PCR is strongly desired.

Previous experience using primary B cells, Crispr-Cas9 editing and ELISA is desired, but not required.

S/he must also be capable of working independently on multiple projects in a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative and identify, prioritize, and plan activities necessary to meet projected goals.

Established understanding of good safety practices and a demonstrated history of safe conduct.

Research Assistant II – The West lab

1 year work experience with proteins or cell lines is necessary

Experience with high-throughout ELISA's is highly preferred

Experience with performing assays on automated liquid handlers a plus

A minimum of 1 year of experience measuring probe-protein interactions with ELISA or similar techniques

Phage display experience is preferred

Highly organized with experience in maintaining large reagent catalogues

Own our Research Ops discipline, providing leadership which includes the development and maintenance of our “toolkit,” documentation, process, and user access

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required

Systems engineering expertise to operate and apply SysML modeling tools including Sparx EA, MajicDraw and Rhapsody.Digital Engineering / MBSE experience.
